Nova Space Hotel Entry 4 (Overall Review)

barcelonaislandspacehotel.jpg

So, his overall rating of the Nova Space Hotel was like our family living in the upper east side of New York City with my family because the moment I stepped inside, The Nova lived up to its name as a luxury boutique hotel in every sense. The lobby, without being grand, lends an air of grandeur and the service of the space theme with the ability to see the earth and space from outside your room in the hotel, then without being pretentious, sets the standard for luxury accommodations in the city. He believes that the next time his family or business meeting here would be great for new ideas to inspire, create, and yes, dream of the imagination. This can be even more glorious!

Nova Space Hotel Entry 3

He really enjoyed the anti-gravity room at the Nova Space Hotel because when I step into the anti-gravity with the auto-mated switch turn-on with the room feels and him flying around upside down. Really got his brain working with new ideas that he thought of his wildest dream will ever happened in his life. With this inspiration which inspire him to think bigger or beyond this universe to create and yes even think bigger in the future.

Nova Space Hotel Entry 2

When he got to the Nova Space Hotel was really good with the logo design because to me it’s felt like a spacewalk or traveling the galaxy. The hotel tagline defined by luxury because of the way the hospitality was amazing with a lot modern technological advancement like robot help with kiosks to look up information on specific areas of the Nova hotel with 3-d graphics of computer touch screen of surprises that will change as often as you do. This is not just a business or family fun. The room where was very luxury with the hotel logo everywhere with books, T.V., and the hotel card made me feel like an entertaining area 51 military bases.

Nova Space Hotel Entry 1

He found an interesting advertisement while I was searching for a great family vacation trip that could be fun for me and my family. Then a friend told me to look up the Nova Space Hotel because it was a nice subway and billboard ad. He decides to look at their website, which he enjoyed how the site and the ad was interesting and feels of space traveling and off the earth because the traveling was very brilliant. He said that he felt a little nervous stomach because of the ship traveling to space and seeing it from that distance was a little scared a first for him.

My Top 5-5 of the week 08/29/14

Good:

  1. On Friday night, in New Jersey MetLife Stadium (home of the New York Giants and Jets), is where the battle between the two New York teams: to see which New York football team is better. The answer to that question would be the New York Giants beating the New York Jets, which means is week three of the preseason match-up for the MetLife bowl and a donation from the winning and the losing team. But in the NFL (National Football League) week three is also the pre-warm-up to see what the starters and bench players for your favorite football team in the NFL. The final score of the game of the game was Giants 35 to the Jets 24. Some last note about the game below: from what I saw from both New York teams. My view is going to be a long seasons and a lot miserable times are coming and it’s a guaranteed.
  2. On Tuesday afternoon, in the NHL (National Hockey League), is considering an expansion rumors. Now this time, Las Vegas is about to get a team there. According to Sport New reporter, that this would a team in Vegas would be nice because, well, the Seattle Metropolitans are getting ready for their first season in the Western Conference, and Vegas would make 16 teams in the West to balance out the 16 in the East and … Oh, wait, you say there’s no team in Seattle? But, but, but … we thought it was getting a franchise this year, too. Yeah, the crickets are still competing with all the chirping about that, about how the NHL is increasing from 30 to 32 to 34 or more clubs. Gallagher wrote that NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has changed his mind about expansion and is now ready to take the plunge and that he doesn’t have to stop at just two teams. Other examples are:
  • 1967: Next Six, to join with the Original Six.
  • 1970-74: Six, to CONTINUE Western expansion and to compete with the WHA.
  • 1979: Four, as the league absorbed the surviving teams of the dying WHA.
  • 1991-93: Five, as the Sun Belt strategy took hold.
  • 1998-2000: Four, as part of the league’s reunion tour (Atlanta, Minnesota, Ohio).
  1. My viewpoint or the most interesting story coming out of the West Virginia and Alabama game. Was West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett says his 1st kiss was with Nick Saban’s daughter Kristen Saban, when we’re just six years old? This could be a great distraction for the game or angrier the Alabama head coach Nick Saban’s defense to dismantle West Virginia starting quarterback Clint Trickett.
  2. It’s the first Thursday night in the end of the month of August, which means it’s the start of the NCAAF (College Football) to start a new season. First, game is #21 Texas A/M Aggies take on the # 9 University of South Carolina Gamecocks. The questions coming into this game: Who will be the starting quarterback after Johnny Manziel left for the NFL? How will the Gamecocks defense be without their star defensive player who left for the NFL to? The Aggies use their sophomore quarterback Kenny Hill throws 511 yards and three TD. #21 Texas A/M Aggies beat the # 9 University of South Carolina Gamecocks 52-28 to end the 18 games home winning streaks.
  3. My point of view is this contest really cool for graphic arts and sport fans too. Submit a photo from a game, practice or workout showing how you win from within. Every submission is judged, but only the best will be immortalized with a one-of-a-kind comic cover. No purchase necessary. The submission ends on September 07, 2014. The option will be create your very own comic book superhero athletic and you can also win your own comic book cover.

Bad:

  1. On Sunday morning, some sad new to report coming from St. Louis, that the St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is finished for the season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee the same injury to the same knee as the one that cut short his 2012 season (only able too played seven games) and had an okay season going on. But all this was confirmed by the Rams coach Jeff Fisher and a hospital doctor in St. Louis. The injury came in the first quarter week three of the preseason game against the Cleveland Browns, when he got tackle by a Browns defender, when he was trying to throw the pass to a receiver. Last note is that the St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford had played in all 16 games was his rookie year in the NFL and 3rd year in the league. My point of view is that the St. Louis Rams organization should just move away from the quarterback Sam Bradford and consider drafting a new franchise quarterback, whom is not injury prone to help the team’s make the playoff to return to the glory days, when Kurt Warner was the starting quarterback.
  2. On Wednesday afternoon, it was announced that after being cut by the New York Mets, the rival New York Yankees will sign Chris Young to minor-league deal. According to ESPN, Young’s hit .205/.283/.346 with eight home runs and 28 RBI in 88 games for the Mets this season before being released on the 15th of August. My point of view that Chris Young will be a good of the bench spark for the Yankees, but I don’t think he doesn’t have a good arm from the outfield because he can’t throw someone out running full speed to get home. Also, Young was like no help since his days in his Arizona Diamondbacks days during when he first came up to the big league to play.
  3. On Thursday night, when the New York Giants will take on the New England Patriots on Thursday preseason finale. So the question is: Will the Giants offense finally spark. Will the New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning finally find chemistry with the wide receivers and his chemistry with the offense line protecting him?
  4. On Friday morning, after the four games are played in the preseason, which means is that time in the NFL (National Football League), which means that players in the league that are veterans and rookies tread about this because it is about trimming the rosters of players to their representative teams to create the 53-man rosters for the whole season and the post-season into the playoff. Then, 10 players to their practice squad. So my questions are: Are any of the Giants draft picks like Odell Beckham Junior, Andre Williams, Kevon Benerad, and etc… Make the roster or not?
  5. New York Giant’s offense still needed a lot of chemistry and trust with each other, kind of like the next man up idea. One problem could be their new offense coordinator Ben McAdoo. Another problem could be Eli Manning age and how he still been trying to figure out the playbook or maybe is because of Eli Manning wide receiver group is really and a lot untested receivers from the draft and free agency, which means they need to get on the same page, fast because the regular season is about to start. My point of view is that the preseason game should not matter at all, but if this going to be the problem in the regular season games, when everything matters a lot. The norm for Manning and his teammates in new offensive by Ben McAdoo’s and the West Coast passing attack. Even though the Giants beat the New England Patriots 16-13 on Josh Brown 37 yard field goal with 37 seconds left in the four quarters to go 5-0 in this preseason (finale).

My Top 5-5 of the week 08/22/14

Good:

  1. It’s been a landmark year in all professional sports in the United States as athletics are coming out. The 6’8″ Griner was selected as the Number one pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury, the team she still plays for. Griner officially came out in April, 2013, telling Sports Illustrated “If I can show that I’m out and I’m fine and everything’s OK, then hopefully the younger generation will definitely feel the same way.” The announcement from athletes of both genders, as Griner was later followed by NBA player Jason Collins and NFL player Michael Sam, who both publicly came out. On Friday night, Brittney Griner is engaged to the woman of her dreams! The WNBA superstar proposed to girlfriend and fellow WNBA member Glory Johnson. This is a good example on how the world should have started to accept people as who they are because as you see on television by these professional sport athletic (like your role model).
  2. On Thursday, in the NHL (National Hockey League), we all saw the coveted college UFA (Unrestricted Free-Agent) named Kevin Hayes signs with the New York Rangers. After he didn’t accepted the minimal contract from other National Hockey League teams that he declining to sign a deal with the Nashville Predators, Dallas Star, Boston Bruins, and Chicago Blackhawks, Hayes was free to become an unrestricted free agent. Though a UFA, Hayes is still beholden to the NHL’s entry-level system and could only be signed to the maximum under those guidelines which includes a bonus in his contract with a base salary of $925,000 per season at the NHL level. According to ESPN, Hayes was a popular free agent due in part to the price and his history as a first-round draft pick, but he really became a strong candidate after he tore up college hockey in his final season. Hayes posted 65 points as the second most in the nation as a senior for Boston College, one of the best teams in the country in 2013-14. Hayes also has a pro body and good physical strength that could help lead to a quicker transition to the NHL. I believe this is and sound investment by the New York Rangers because of skilled were compared some of the best veterans NHL (National Hockey League) players like Brad Richards, Justin William, Jonathan Toews, and etc…
  3. On Thursday, in the NFL (National Football League), we saw the Cleveland Brown’s head coach named Mike Pettine, who named their starting quarterbacks (QB), named it as Brian Hoyer beats out Johnny Manziel as Cleveland Brown’s starting quarterback (QB). Maybe Johnny Manziel as the Cleveland Brown’s future starting quarterback (QB) as he mature in the league and learn to be more of a pocket passer in the league until he learned all his option are closed up by the defense and the offense line is holding up the defense line really tight that you will have a wide open lane for Johnny Manziel to run for a touchdown (TD). Could this spark the Cleveland Brown’s fans to start a petition to force the Brown’s organization to start quarterback Johnny Manziel because of his popularity and the Brown’s fans believe him as the savior for the team.
  4. Even Thursdays afternoon game, was a much-needed 3-0 win could hardly be considered a breakout. Other than one lapse in the second inning, in which he gave up a single to Mark Teixeira, back-to-back doubles by Martin Prado and Chase Headley and a sac fly to Ichiro Suzuki, Dallas Keuchel matched McCarthy zero-for-zero, routine out-for-routine out the whole game. I believe this could be the spark of the New York Yankees to be rallying and making the playoff in the near future for this Yankees team because of the veterans helping the inexperienced by battling on fire to create the scoring for the team today.
  5. This contest is really cools for graphic arts and sport fans too.

Bad:

  1. The NASCAR union is now starting to be worried about their NASCAR drivers because they are concerned about road rage after Tony Stewart accident with Kevin Ward Junior. The union though that NASCAR drivers can keep their road rage until control or they would not be able to compete in this sport, but after this accident involving Tony Stewart (veteran racer drivers) and Kevin Ward Junior (young adulthood life being cut short after an accident on dirt race track and came out of the car to be run over by Tony Stewart during race car on the field). So the new law enforce says that drivers in a NASCAR can’t get out of their race car pilot seat during the race until their car is on fire or feel their car or life is endanger of exploding and deeding inside or can’t breathe from the smoke. Then, the driver should stay in the car until help come to rescue them off the field. But if you’re a NASCAR driver should be able to control their road rage a lot better than a normal driver from my perspective, but this story proves is not always true.
  2. On Sunday afternoon, as we see the San Francisco 49ers fell 34-0 to the Denver Broncos in the first ever football game (even though it’s a preseason football game) in the new Levi’s Stadium. My question is what is wrong with the San Francisco 49ers? Could it be a chemistry problem or the new grass field turf to be blamed? Is it the coaching method?
  3. On Monday night, we saw on ESPN preseason football game between the Cleveland Browns versus the Washington Redskins, in the third quarter, if you saw the game, when Johnny Manziel raised his middle finger toward the Washington Redskins bench as he returned to the huddle late in the third quarter. It was one of the few times a Cleveland Browns quarterback actually found his intended target. Manziel’s latest hand gesture was one of many low-lights for the Browns in a 24-23 Monday night loss that did little to make coach Mike Pettine’s decision any easier when it comes to selecting a Week 1 starter. After a poor showing between Johnny Manziel, had 1 touchdown pass (Rookie Quarterback) and Brian Hoyer, who had a bad showing with no touchdown pass in tonight game (6 year veratans Quarterback). But if does choose based solely on numbers, there’s not much either Manziel or Brian Hoyer did to show he deserves the job. If it’s based on composure, the hot-shot rookie’s obscene gesture lost him some ground to the nondescript sixth-year veteran. If you are in the NFL (National Football League) and you are on national television with the world eyes on you. If you are supposed to me to be a role model for younger kids for the future, instead of teaching kids how to know the difference between good and bad behavior.
  4. On Friday morning to ESPN Adam Schefter learned the Cleveland Brown’s rookie backup quarterback (QB) has been fined $12,000, on Monday night ESPN preseason game against the Washington Redskins with the hand gestures in the 3rd quarter toward the redskins bench, which the redskins bench though it was kind of funny. To me this is really funny because he knew that he drew a lot of attention with his partying style that the camera were on him always, but he could not make it out of the preseason without getting fined. If you are in the NFL (National Football League) and you are on national television with the world eyes on you. If you are supposed to me to be a role model for younger kids for the future, instead of teaching kids how to know the difference between good and bad behavior.
  5. Will there be another no-hitter by a pitcher this season in the MLB (Major League Baseball) or the 3 no-hitter this season that already happened are that it?

My Top 5-5 of the week 08/15/14

Good:

  1. How will the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) season works out now that the selection committee will pick out in the end of the season with four teams making the playoff to complete for the greatest prize in college football with the national championship named the BCS National Championship and a new Heisman winner for this college season again, like last year winner was Jameis Winston, the Quarterback of the Florida State University Seminoles. Who will be the next Heisman winner for the 2014-2015 seasons?
  2. During this time, a lot of professional athletics and celebrities have been doing the ‪#‎ALSIceBucketChallenge, is to raise awareness for ALS problem in America. Some big named professional people are Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Gino Smith, Michael Vicks, and Conan O’ Brien. So are you doing your part to stomp out ALS with your friends and family members by donating, doing the challenge, or accepting someone challenge you?
  3. According to the NBA (National Basketball Association), the Sacramento Kings made history on Friday, signing massive center Sim Bhullar to a contract. Bhullar, is a native of Toronto, Ontario, became the first player of Indian descent to sign an NBA contract. The 7-foot-5 project, which spent two seasons playing college basketball at New Mexico State, is also set to become the tallest player in the league. According to ESPN, Bhullar averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game in two years at NMSU before declaring early for the 2014 NBA draft. Sacramento signed him to its Las Vegas Summer League team after he went un-drafted, and Bhullar appeared in four games for the Summer League champs. We won’t know much until we see him played on the court. So, I say that you should not judge him until we see his plays on the court because we could have a speciation on him.
  4. The Los Angeles Kings will finally that they will hail Hall of Famer defense-man named Rob Blake No. 4 jersey on Jan. 17 games, when Blake will be honored before a home game against the Anaheim Ducks. He is the sixth Kings player to have his number retired. Some of the statistics are that Blake played 14 of his 20 NHL seasons with the Kings, including six seasons as their captain. The seven-time All-Star won the franchise’s first Norris Trophy in 1998 and became the club leader in games played, goals and assists by a defense-man. The former fourth-round draft pick finished his career in San Jose in a move that irked many Kings. This is a great event to honor Rob Blake for great skills and love for hockey on and off the ring to.
  5. The MLB (Major League Baseball) newly elected Commissioner Rob Manfred, who is scheduled to replace Bud Selig on the 25 of January in 2015. How will help answers these questions of the problems in the MLB? How will he handled the growth of the Major League Baseball? How will he crackdown on the performance-enhancing drug problem in the league? How will he split the duty of running the office in the MLB (Major League Baseball)?

Bad:

  1. Earlier Tuesday that veteran defense-man Kimmo Timonen was hospitalized in Finland with blood clots in his lower right leg and in both lungs. Some in between news for hockey fans of this player in Finland, but just some between the news for hockey players to hear in America right now.
  2. The NFL (National Football League) Commissioner Roger Goodell had a problem with people on social media and the media on how he handles the Baltimore Ravens star running back named Ray Rice domestic violence to his wife to be in Atlantic City and Mr. Roger Goodell said that Rice was going to be suspended the first two games of the season, while the Dallas Cowboy corner-back Orlando Scandrick was suspended the first four games of the season for breaking the NFL rules for drug-abusive. So Mr. Roger Goodell said that he will change the ruling the next time for domestic violence or wife-abusive would the first six games of the season. Would this problem on his shoulder, could this hurt the NFL (National Football League) Commissioner Roger Goodell power in the league or will this get more supported by the owner and players to back him up on this case or not.
  3. It’s a sad time coming to the city of San Francisco, as they say goodbye Thursday night to Candlestick Park (the stadium), where the city’s beloved Giants and 49ers celebrated some of their greatest triumphs. The storied venue was expected to shut down after an evening concert by former Beatle Paul McCartney, which finished about midnight. It then will be demolished to make way for a housing, retail and entertainment development. The Stick, as it is known, opened more than 50 years ago and served as the home field for the 49ers and Giants. It hosted greats from both teams, including Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Willie Mays, and was the site of The Catch – Montana’s touchdown pass to Dwight Clark to win the NFC Championship Game in January 1982 and send the 49ers to their first Super Bowl. But one good memory from watching old New York Giant’s game rewind was from when the Giants played their last game at Candlestick in September 1999. The 49ers will play at a new stadium about 45 miles south starting this year. Candlestick also was the site of a 1987 mass by Pope John Paul II and the Beatles’ last live concert in 1966.
  4. It was announced that the Philadelphia Flyer’s has signed defense-man Michael Del Zotto (who is 24 years old currently) to a one-year contract. Del Zotto was a first-round pick by the New York Rangers in 2008. He had 26 goals and 95 assists for 121 points in 292 games over five seasons with the Rangers. He had 10 goals and 31 assists for 41 points and a plus-20 rating in his best season in 2010-11. That means one of the New York Rangers defense-man has gone over to the dark side and sign with our enemy side as signed with the Philadelphia Flyers. In the NHL (National Hockey League), this has been a great rivalry series and regular or post-season battle between them. I’m a New York Rangers fan feels like he betrayal his team to go over to the enemy like in Star Wars, when Skywalker betrayal oboe one to turn to the side with his father.
  5. The big question that still need to be answers by the Jacksonville Jaguars after the first week and first 2 preseason games: who will the starting Quarterbacks for the Jaguars (QB), is it the Veratans Quarterback Chad Henne or Rookie Quarterback in Blake Bortles?

My Top 5-5 of the week 08/08/14

Good:

  1. On Saturday night DeGrom out-duel Peavy in Mets’ win vs. Giants. For a while Saturday night, it was impossible to figure out who would be the tougher foe for New York Mets right-handed pitcher Jacob deGrom: his pitch count or his San Francisco Giants pitching counterpart, Jake Peavy. DeGrom carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and Peavy took a perfect game into the seventh before the Mets scored four runs off the right-hander and held on for a 4-2 win at Citi Field. The last time this happen was the pitchers have carried dueling no-hitters into the seventh inning. Milwaukee’s Matt Garza and Atlanta’s Aaron Harang had matching no-hit bids broken up in the seventh on April 2. Collins said deGrom wouldn’t throw more than 105 pitches because he threw 114 pitches — the second-most of his career — in his previous start Sunday in Milwaukee. Collins didn’t have to worry about yanking deGrom in the middle of a perfect game after deGrom walked Giants first baseman Brandon Belt with two outs in the fifth. And Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval ended the agony for Collins on deGrom’s 88th pitch, hitting a double into the left-center gap with two outs in the seventh. DeGrom escaped the seventh by retiring left fielder Michael Morse on a grounder to third, but Peavy was not as fortunate once his gem was broken up in the bottom of the inning. Peavy, making his second start for the Giants since being acquired from Boston on July 26, set down the first 19 batters on just 71 pitches before Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy doubled over the head of Morse, who appeared to get a bad read on the ball. Third baseman David Wright singled and first baseman Lucas Duda was hit by a pitch to load the bases for catcher Travis d’Arnaud, who lofted a sacrifice fly to right. Center fielder Juan Lagares followed with an RBI single and shortstop Wilmer Flores then delivered a two-run double. DeGrom was chased with one out in the eighth after giving up three hits, including a two-run single to pinch hitter Travis Ishikawa. Right-hander Jeurys Familia recorded the final two outs to strand Ishikawa, and right-hander Jenrry Mejia earned his 16th save by working around two hits in the ninth.
  1. In the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) news, on the July 28, 2014 Monday night’s edition of WWE Raw, the undefeated streak of Bo Dallas (18-0), also called inspirational, came to an end after he was defeated in a singles match by R-Truth. Following the match, but this attack is not inspirational at all by Dallas hit Truth over the head with a microphone and viciously assaulted him. Now the streak of Bo Dallas (18-1) and there will be a rematch between R-Truth and Bo Dallas of Friday night edition of WWE Smackdown. On August 01, 2014 Monday night’s edition of WWE Smackdown, R-Truth has defeated Bo Dallas in a singles match by DQ (which means by Disqualified) because when Dallas got a hold on Truth and would not release by the referee 5 counts after Truth reach the button rope in the match. Reader I don’t why he can called himself inspirational if he doesn’t play fair and say: “he is a true role model”, when he doing things like this.
  1. NFL teams will use tablets on the sidelines for the first time Sunday night for the first preseason game of the 2014-2015 season, in a game known as the Hall of Fame game, where the Buffalo Bills takes on the New York Giants. Instead of using the black and white printed-out paper to review the play on the sideline, you can see it live and in color with the tablets on the sidelines. Where the new-look offense was okay enough that they pull off a win 17-13 as the Giants beat the Bills with the most amazing play in the 4th quarter, when Corey Washington caught the 73 yards pass from Ryan Nassib and a (Josh Brown Kick). We also learned that the Green Bay Packers, that Brett Favre to be inducted into Packers Hall of Fame, has No. 4 retired. That means the Packers and Brett Favre are burying what happened in the past and looking at a bright future together in relationship with the front office guys. In the NFL (National Football League), as the Cincinnati Bengals and Andy Dalton agreed to a six-year, $115 million extension and the contract was not explained fully to an ESPN source about how much money was guaranteed to Andy Dalton on Monday morning yet. I was to heard about this Andy Dalton news of a new contract of that much money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Maybe 50 Cent should have had a few pops before his toss at Shea Stadium in May. Swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen threw out the first pitch before Tuesday night’s Dodgers-Angels game at Dodger Stadium. And, it was a decent throw from the rubber that made it to the plate before being snatched up by Dodger pitcher Drew Butera. The throw was particularly impressive considering Teigen’s state of being as she said: she may have enjoyed a few beverages before taking the mound from a photo she posted of her dad mixing some margaritas on Tuesday afternoon. Seems it was a family affair as mom was celebrating the ceremonial first pitch as WELL to. Teigen’s jersey had the word “Nugz” in the name are along with number # 40 on the back. MLB.com reporter Michael Lananna lets us know why. John Legend’s better half did reference the debacle that was 50 Cent’s first pitch before she took the field. I know a lot of people don’t care, but I care. … I want to do a fastball strike.” It wasn’t a fastball, but it wasn’t a mile wide like the rap star’s ill-fated toss. Does this play or first pitch deserves to get into the Baseball top 10 first pitches of the MLB season by 50 cents or the one by Chrissy Teigen was worse? So reader you decide it? My opinion is that 50 cents pitch went way far right from home plate.
  3. On Wednesday night, we saw in the MLB (Major League Baseball), the Mets lose to the Nationals 7-1. The New York Yankees beat the Detroit Tigers 5-1, as Chris Capuano out-pitched Cy Young Justin Verlander, and Brian McCann and Chase Headley homered to send the New York Yankees past Detroit. The Yankees improved to 2-1 in these three straight games started for Detroit by AL CY Young Award winners. New York edged Max Scherzer on Monday, and then David Price got a no-decision Tuesday in a game the Tigers won in the 12th. Capuano gave up an unearned run and five hits in 6 2-3 innings, striking out eight and walking one. Adam Warren (2-5) got four outs for the win. Verlander (10-10) allowed two runs and five hits in seven innings, walking one and fanning five. Headley homered in the fifth inning, and then McCann hit a tie-breaking solo shot off Verlander in the seventh. The Seattle Mariners handed Atlanta its eighth straight loss, with Dustin Ackley and Logan Morrison hitting home runs in the third inning to beat the Braves 7-3 Wednesday. The Braves were swept at Dodger Stadium and San Diego before losing two at Safeco Field. Ackley led off the third with a home run, and Morrison added a three-run shot off Julio Teheran (10-8) for a 5-3 lead. Robinson Cano doubled twice and scored two runs for Seattle. Chris Young (10-6) allowed three runs in five innings. He struck out six and reached double-digit wins for the first time since 2006. Five relievers combined to throw four innings of scoreless relief, allowing just two hits. Teheran was wildly inconsistent in six innings, yielding six runs in three frames, but allowing just one runner in the other innings. On Thursday afternoon, we saw Bryce Harper quashed any lingering discussion of a trip to the minors that was never going to happen in the first place, lining a two-run homer over the left field wall in the 13th inning Thursday to give the Washington Nationals a 5-3 victory against the New York Mets. If Jonathon Niese was still feeling soreness in his arm, Manager Terry Collins said on Wednesday night that the Mets lefty would be smart enough to say something. For the record, he hasn’t. Even after he was hit hard in the Mets’ 7-1 loss to the Nationals, Niese insisted that HEALTH was not an issue. Instead, Niese said he must simply re-learn how to pitch now that he’s. Like the way that he pitch before h was put on the 15 days disabled list and find the strike-zone to. After learning about the answer: What was the real problem behind Jonathon Niese this season, this game, or this night overall I’m asking?

Bad:

  1. Dustin Johnson’s leave of absence, announced by the 30-year-old golfer on Thursday, coincides with a six-month suspension by the PGA Tour, as first reported by Golf.com on Friday, for a failed drug test for cocaine earlier this year. Johnson is said to have had two affairs with wives of PGA Tour players, including one that allegedly broke up the marriage of one Tour player. Twitter was abuzz with details of the bust-up, one of which was allegedly posted by the ex-wife of the player, who said she and her husband were separated when the alleged tryst occurred. According to the report, it was the third strike for Johnson, ranked 16th in the world and an eight-time winner. He tested positive for marijuana in 2009 and cocaine in 2012, when he served a previous suspension, unannounced by the PGA Tour, which has the option to keep private any breaches of its recreational drug policy. In a statement Friday, the PGA Tour denied that Johnson has been suspended, although the Tour did not make clear that Johnson, if faced with a suspension, had cut a deal with the Tour for voluntarily taking a leave from play. Among the major sports leagues, the PGA Tour is known for its lack of transparency on issues involving drug abuse and another source said that he is going to get a professional help with his problems. After reading the information’s above, my question to the reader is: why are most athletics that played an American sport with the money and fame are doing sucks stupid things to be caught with a scandal to ruin their career? Another example would the Tiger Woods was in prime at the sport of golf, but then the scandal of cheating on his wife and lost his close friend who was his cattie to.
  2. Team USA will on Tuesday formally announce the release of Washington Wizards guards John Wall and Bradley Beal and Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap from its FIBA World Cup roster, sources with knowledge of the moves say. USA Basketball has scheduled a Tuesday 2 p.m. ET teleconference so Chairman Jerry Colangelo and Coach Mike Krzyzewski can make the roster moves official. According to Yahoo! Sports earlier reported the three cuts Monday night, which will reduce the overall number of players vying for the 12-man World Cup team to 16 entering next week’s resumption of practices in Chicago. Washington Wizard’s teammates Bradley Beal and John Wall won’t be joining the U.S. team in Spain for the FIBA World Cup, according to sources. After the devastating leg injury suffered Friday night by Indiana’s Paul George, there are only five players among the final 16 who are widely regarded as shoo-ins for the plane that leaves for Spain on Aug. 23: Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant, Houston’s James Harden, New Orleans’ Anthony Davis, Chicago’s Derrick Rose and Golden State’s Stephen Curry. After finding out Team USA official rosters. Do you believe that they can compete really strongly to repeat as FIBA basketball champion again?
  3. A shocker coming out of Las Vegas as the players competes for the FIBA World Cup to defend Team USA title from 2 years ago, as the team travel to Spain to defend our country in basketball. Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant didn’t play for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup because of medical problem. Durant said: “This was an extremely difficult decision as I take great pride in representing our country,” Durant said in a statement. “I know that I owe it to my USA Basketball teammates to be totally invested in the experience. After going through training camp with USAB, I realized I could not fulfill my responsibilities to the team from both a time and energy standpoint. “I need to take a step back and take some time away, both mentally and physically in order to prepare for the upcoming NBA season. I will be rooting for USAB and look forward to future opportunities with them.” So is this Durant telling the NBA league that age has caught up to him at this age? Or has the NBA league season with the postseason games has a troll on his body? What do you believe is the real reason?
  1. Landon Donovan is United States soccer. While it will be sad that he will retire after this season in MLS (Major League Soccer). There are stats to prove that, but Donovan transcends numbers. No other player, perhaps in any sport, has been tasked to do more for his league and country. Some of the facts about Donovan are back that Major League Soccer and the United States national teams were built in the 2000’s. On Donovan’s back, both soared to new heights. In 2001, an MLS rookie with unforgivably bad bleached-blonde hair scored five goals in six playoff matches, leading the San Jose Earthquakes to their first MLS Cup. He brought drama and personality to a league that struggled for both in its infancy. Who could forget the 2001 All-Star Game in which Donovan scored, ripped off his shirt to expose … a black Nike sports bra? It was a tribute to Brandi Chastain. The L.A. Galaxy paired Donovan with David Beckham in 2007 in a move that could have been disastrous but ultimately launched MLS into a new era. In the beginning, Beckham’s star power seemed destined to wipe out the Galaxy chemistry and ostracize Donovan. Instead, Donovan made Beckham captain. Together, the pair led the Galaxy to consecutive MLS Cups in 2011 and 2012 and gave the rest of the league a blueprint to follow for blending premier European talent seamlessly. Players like Thierry Henry, Jermain Defoe, David Villa and Frank Lampard have followed in Beckham’s wake. On Wednesday night, the 32-year-old shredded the Bayern Munich defense for 23 minutes in the MLS All-Star Game, hitting the game-winning goal with his final touch of the match. As Donovan jogged off the pitch in the 70th minute, he received a standing ovation from a crowd that was unaware this would be the last time they would see him in an All-Star setting. MLS undoubtedly will give Donovan an epic sendoff in the coming months, as the season lurches toward the playoffs. The league will be hard pressed to do Donovan’s career justice. Does the information’s or stats listed above guaranteed that one of the United States best soccer player Landon Donovan? Will get into the hall of fame right away?
  1. Will the New York Giants have a chance beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the week 1 preseason match-up or will it be the Pittsburgh Steelers beating the New York Giants or maybe even a tied game? I asking this because you have consider veteran quarterback Eli Manning in Ben McAdoo new west offense with new receivers core, new offensive-line men, and a new core of running back led by Rasheed Jennings and Andre Williams.

My Top 5-5 of the week 08/01/14

Good:

  1. On Tuesday night, the fans learn that there be-loved announcer named Vin Scully, who has the golden-voiced Hall of Famer will be back for a 66th season of broadcasting Dodgers games in 2015.The news was greeted with loud cheers and a prolonged standing ovation for the 86-year-old Scully, who stood and waved to fans from his booth. “It is very difficult to say goodbye,” he said in a statement, per MLB.com. “God willing, I will be back next year. Over the years I have been blessed to have so many friends, including those that sit in the stands and listen, as well as those at home who listen and watch. It is just too hard to say goodbye to all these friends. Naturally there will come a time when I will have to say goodbye, but I’ve soul-searched and this is not the time.” Scully’s consecutive years of service make him the longest-tenured broadcaster with one team in sports history. He began his professional career in 1950 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He calls all nine innings of the team’s home games and road games in California and Arizona for the Dodgers’ new television home on Sports Net LA, while the first three innings of his games are simulcast on the radio.
  2. On Wednesday night, the 43rd president presented Jeter with a framed photo of the two from the night Bush threw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium after the 9/11 attacks, a gift from his presidential library. “It’s an EXPERIENCE,” Jeter said. “That’s a gift within itself. Not too many people can say they’ve had the President come out and honor them in a ceremony. It meant a lot to me.” Ex-Rangers Michael Young and Ivan Rodriguez presented the Captain with a $10,000 check for his Turn 2 Foundation along with custom-made cowboy BOOTS complete with the Yankees’ logo and Jeter’s name. The right-field scoreboard began playing a video of Bush talking about throwing out the first pitch before Game 3 of the 2001 World Series, the night Jeter famously told the President, “Don’t bounce it; they’ll boo you.” Even though the Texas Rangers beat the New York Yankees lost 3 runs to 2 runs. What do you think of these gifts then for the Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter?
  1. San Antonio Spurs have signed point guard Tony Parker to a multi-year contract extension. According to ESPN, that Tony Parker averaged 16.7 points and 5.7 assists in 29 minutes per game last season to help the Spurs to the franchise’s fifth NBA title. Parker has spent all 13 seasons of his career in San Antonio and was due to make $12.5 million next season in the final year of his existing contract. But the Spurs made sure he will stick around longer than that, locking up the 32-year-old Parker, who is one of the elite point guards in the league. Does this make sense after just winning the NBA championship looking at his age? Shouldn’t the San Antonio Spurs be considering trained or develop an elite point guards for the future. Let imagine one of these that Tony Parker is down for the season or injured for a while in the season. Think about that now!
  2. Wayne Gretzky is the Fan Vote Champion for Greatest LA Kings player of all-time! You being the reader: Do you agree or disagree with this article about Wayne Gretzky?
  3. This Sunday night, will be the first preseason football game, which is also the Hall of Fame game between the New York Giants versus. Buffalo Bills, but it will be a special night for former Giant’s defensive end Michael Strahan’s as his dream to enter the football Hall of Fame. Do you agree or disagree with defensive end Michael Strahan’s entering the hall?

Bad:

  1. The first week of training camp has gone bye for the New York Jets and Giants. The New York Giants are Jason-Pierce Paul, Eli Manning, Ruben Randle, Victor Cruz, and etc… but the Giants are already with injury update from Odell Beckham hamstring injury, Chris Snee retirement, and Jon Beason foot injury. The New York Jets coaches are more interested in the Quarterbacks back for the starter Geno Smith vs. Michael Vicks. Also backup to Quarterbacks job between rookies from Clemson Taj Boyd vs. veteran Matt Simms. Currently no injury that Jets players got in training camp and mostly from last season or during the summer times, when they were off. Will these questions be answers by the first preseason games?
  2. On Saturday afternoon, now they’ll TEST out a third – and their 11th different starter this year – as newcomer Chris Capuano looks to cool off Jose Bautista and extend the Toronto Blue Jays’ astonishing misery in the Bronx on Saturday. New York’s 6-4 victory Friday broke a second-place tie with the Blue Jays in the AL East and pushed its winning streak to four, one off a season high. Toronto had a three-game win streak snapped as its drought at Yankee Stadium reached 17 games, the longest road slide by one team against another since Tampa Bay lost 18 in a row at Cleveland from 2005-10. New York is 7-1 on a 10-game home stand, which began after the all-star break. But it’s a failure as the Yankees fall 6-4 to the Blue Jays to end the streak at 17 games now.
  3. According to ESPN, you can Colorado Rockies to exchange jerseys for misspelling for shortstop named ‘Tulowitzki’, as an appreciation for helping his team and representing his team, this year all-star game in Minnesota. If you are going to do a fan night for your star player. You should not be missed spelling his name then.
  4. SPN suspended sportscaster Stephen A. Smith on Tuesday for a week because of comments about domestic abuse, suggesting women should make sure they don’t provoke attacks. After he found out that the NFL (National Football League) commitment said that Baltimore Raven star running back (RB) Ray Rice was going to be suspended for two games only for his alternation with his now wife. Do you agree or disagree with sportscaster Stephen A. Smith comments?
  5. On Thursday night, the Major League Baseball issued this statement on Thursday night’s controversial call that allowed the Cincinnati Reds to tie the Miami Marlins in the eighth inning and go on to a 3-1 victory. Major League Baseball issued the following statement today regarding the play, that I saw at home plate in the top of the eighth inning of last night’s Cincinnati Reds-Miami Marlins game at Marlins Park and the replay judgment that resulted in overturning the initial ‘out’ call, allowing the run to score because of a violation of Official Baseball Rule 7.13: “The Replay Official judged that the catcher did not provide a lane to the runner and hindered his path to the plate without possession of the ball. The throw also did not force the catcher into the runner’s pathway. As a result, in accordance with Rule 7.13, the ruling on the field was overturned and the run was allowed to score. To me on Thursday night, this game was like a bad nightmare for the Marlins, while the Reds felt like someone is helping them in a mirage comeback in the game. Do you agree with the call that the referee did or do you disagree with the call by the referee? I’m confused by the rule now? Can someone explained it better to me then? In my opinion that the play sounded it like the players were out and the game would still be tied game.1

My Top 5-5 of the week 7/25/14

Good:

  1. The New York Rangers agreed to term with the Pittsburgh Penguins free-agent right winger forward Lee Stempniak on one-year deal. According to CapGeek.com lists it at $900,000. The Rangers have about $12 million in salary cap space to sign restricted free agent forwards Derick Brassard, Mats Zuccarello, and Chris Kreider, and defense-man John Moore. Stempniak is a 31-year-old right wing, who has 637 games of NHL experience. He has scored 150 goals and assisted on 191 others for 341 career points. After he played 52 games for the Calgary Flames last season, he was traded to the Penguins before the trade deadline in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2014 draft. He posted 11 points to close out the regular season before notching two goals winner and an assists in 13 playoff contests. He was part of a Pens team that was eliminated by the New York Rangers after holding a 3-1 series lead in the second round, which was before the New York Rangers stormed back against the Pens team to win the series 4-3 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. I believe getting a player from your division might help the Rangers to better understand how another team plays to better beat them this season. Great move to sign to Lee Stempniak of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
  2. On Friday night, four nights after the MLB (Major League Baseball) All-Star game, where we saw the Yankee’s shortstop Derek Jeter in his 14th and final All-Star game of his New York Yankees and his MLB career. We saw the New York Met’s 5-4 win over the Padres in the second-half opener at Petco Park Friday might be a good omen. Fridays win was the fourth straight for the Mets and their ninth in their last 11 games. Although Fridays has win still left them four games below .500 at 46-50, they are only six games off a wild card berth. Where the New York Yankees has beaten the Cincinnati Reds 4-3 with David Phelps pitching a gem, the game was tied 2-2 after the first four inning, then in the bottom of the 5th inning with one on base and Jacoby Ellsbury 8th home run of the season with David Robertson closing the game in the 9th inning with his 24 saves of the season. Can the Mets catch-up in the end of the season to make the playoff this season? It was an amazing opener for both New York baseball team after the All-Star break for the second half of the season.
  3. This according to Detroit newspaper that: The Ilitch family on Sunday unveiled more details of its plans for an entertainment and residential complex centered on a new Detroit Red Wings hockey arena. “It’s always been my dream to see a vibrant and energized downtown Detroit,” Mike Ilitch, chairman of Ilitch Holdings Inc., said in a statement. “I want PEOPLE to look at Detroit’s new sports and entertainment district and see what I see: the potential form something very special. I couldn’t be more excited and proud to bring this vision to life.” Development in the district will be integrated with existing sports and entertainment venues in or adjacent to the space, including the Fox Theatre, Comerica Park, Motor City CASINO Hotel, Ford Field, the Detroit Opera House, the Fillmore Detroit and more,” it said in a statement. The Ilitches own the National League’s Detroit Tigers, who play at Comerica Park, as well as the Fox Theatre. Ford Field is home of the NFL’s Detroit Lions. The Detroit City Council in February approved transferring vacant city-owned parcels for the new, 18,000-seat hockey arena and a 45-block entertainment complex. The overall project has been priced at $650 million. The Red Wings now play at the riverfront Joe Louis Arena, which opened in 1979. Construction is scheduled to start in fall 2014, with the mixed-use part of the project getting under way in the first year. The new Detroit Red Wings area is scheduled to open in summer 2017, the Ilitches said. Mayor Mike Duggan, whose city is going through bankruptcy proceedings under an emergency financial manager, said a project “of this magnitude and geographic reach will extend our progress, creating much-needed jobs for Detroiters, strengthening our public infrastructure both downtown and in the neighborhoods, and attracting new, permanent residents to our city.” It’s a good idea to bring back more job to the motor city. Great job!
  4. Chris Kreider and the New York Rangers agreed on a two-year deal shortly before going to arbitration. For the second straight day, the Rangers averted arbitration with a restricted free-agent forward. The 23-year-old Kreider made a deal Wednesday morning with an average salary of $2.475 million moments before the scheduled hearing. He will receive $2.35 million US next season and $2.6 million during 2015-16. On Tuesday, Mats Zuccarello agreed to a one-year, $3.5-million deal. New York has one more hearing scheduled with forward Derick Brassard on Monday. Now the New York Rangers are trying to resign with young players from breakout players from last season that helped them reach the Stanley Cup Final last year, which means they want the speed and building momentum with improving defense on the power play penalty kills. I believe this is an amazing job or idea to lock-up a young rising superstar to develop into an amazing player for the Rangers for the future.
  5. Thirty-year-old Frank Kasell of Akron, Ohio, had always wanted to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records. Through sheer will and Guinness’s apparent willingness to measure anything plus everything, Kasell achieved his dream on the 5th of July by very carefully walking 115 meters with a 17-pound push lawnmower balanced on his chin. He accomplished the lawnmower balancing record at the Lee HIGH SCHOOL track in Springfield, Ohio, on what he said would be his final of several attempts to break the previous record of 100 meters. “It’s obviously a very specific thing, but it was really fun to know that I am the best at that one thing,” Kasell said. Kasell earns style points, too, for becoming the greatest lawnmower chin balancer while wearing a HAWAIIAN SHIRT and flip-flops. To me what did to get into the record was stupid because it could get him kill but also very happy that he got into the record book.

Bad:

  1. On Sunday afternoon at 4 pm, despite some brief excitement on Sunday afternoon in San Diego, the Padres are still the lone MLB franchise without a no-hitter to its name. Odrisamer Despaigne was four outs away from notching the club’s first no-no in its 45-year history, but New York Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy did away with those aspirations by slicing a double to left-center with two outs in the eighth in the Padre’s 2-1 victory. “We haven’t had one and I’m always hoping that we’re going to get one,” said Padres manager Bud Black. “Once you get past the sixth, I think there’s a legitimate chance. I thought he was throwing well enough to think that, ‘Hey, it could happen.” Instead, Despaigne became the latest Padres pitcher to come oh so close, which a little known fact that the San Diego Padres has played in about 7,000 or more games in franchise history without a single pitcher in Padres history. So sad for the padres, but it great for the Mets to not have another no-no hitter on them in their history. But should a sad game for both teams in their own way.
  2. On Wednesday afternoon, the former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice has retired from the NFL. Rice, who has spent the last three seasons with Seattle, issued a statement through the team announcing his retirement from the league Wednesday. Rice was drafted by the Vikings in the second round (44th overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft and played his first four seasons with Minnesota before leaving the Vikings as an unrestricted free agent to sign with Seattle on the 29th of July, 2011. His 2013 season was cut short by a knee injury after eight games. He still caught 15 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns during the Seahawks Super Bowl season. His words in a speech said: “After careful consideration and seven wonderful years playing in the National Football League, including the last three for the Seattle Seahawks, I have decided to retire from playing in the National Football League. I have enjoyed my experiences with all of my coaches, teammates and passionate Seahawks fans. I take great pride in knowing I was one of the players signed to help build the foundation of the team that ultimately won the Super Bowl. I’ll be joining the 12s in support of the Seattle Seahawks as they take on the challenge to repeat. I appreciate all of the wonderful opportunities and look forward to establishing myself as a businessman. I will always be a Seahawk!” Rice’s best season as a professional came in 2009 with the Vikings. With Brett Favre leading the Vikings to the NFC Championship, Rice recorded career-highs in receptions (83), yards (1,312) and touchdowns (8) and was selected to the Pro Bowl. According to Pro Football Talk, Rice wasn’t a certainty to make the Seahawks roster this year, but he opened a small chain of chicken-wing restaurants in June. Do you believe a future Hall of Fame player in the NFL (National Football League) with his statistics above?
  3. On Wednesday we learned more about the Donald Sterling saga court case battle against the NBA (National Basketball Association) and his wife Shelly. The interim CEO of the Los Angeles Clippers testified Tuesday that coach Doc Rivers told him he will quit if Donald Sterling remains the owner of the team. According to an article from the L.A. Times that the CEO Richard Parsons made a statement at the trial to determine whether Sterling’s wife Shelly Sterling can sell the team for $2 billion to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer or not. Donald Sterling came under-fire for making racist remarks against African-Americans in comments to his companion V. Stiviano. The recorded phones call was published online. In response, the NBA banned Sterling for life, fined him $2.5 million and ordered that the teams be sold. Sterling, in turn, sue the league for $1 billion for alleged antitrust violations in its handling of the matter. After Shelly Sterling had her 80-year-old husband declared mentally incapacitated by two physicians, she took over the Sterling Family Trust that owns the team. Donald Sterling, an attorney and real estate investor, has early Alzheimer’s or another brain disease, the doctors said. But Donald Sterling and his attorney’s dispute he’s incapacitated. Donald Sterling revoked the family trust back in June, and Tuesday lawsuit contends that the move reverted the Clippers back to his sole ownership and therefore, Shelly Sterling has no power or right to sell the team. Donald Sterling has said he believes the team may be worth twice the record $2 billion price his wife negotiated with Ballmer, said Maxwell Blecher, another attorney for Sterling. What a great battle’s is now over and he now has to sell his team to whom he wants to.
  4. On Thursday morning, the Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice learned his punishment (or faith) from the NFL is that he is being suspending two games under the personal conduct policy for an altercation that left his then-fiancée (now wife) unconscious in an Atlantic City casino elevator. Rice will miss games against two AFC North rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers, before he’s eligible to be reinstated Sept. 12. He will lose two game checks worth $470,588. He will also be fined an additional $58,000, according to ESPN, which first reported the suspension. Rice, a three-time Pro Bowler and stand out during Baltimore’s run to the Super Bowl title in the 2012 season, is among five Ravens who have been arrested this off-season. In mid-June, he met in New York with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. What a stupid move that Rice did and this move hurt the team for those two games. It may also affect their chances at the playoffs or winning their division because the next two Raven’s games are divisional rivals to.
  5. The Los Angeles Lakers has hired their new head coach named Bryon Scott to fit in with player like Kobe Bryant and players they just signed like Carlos Boozer, Jordan Hill, and Jeremy Lin. How will the new Laker’s system works? What will be the team chemistry? How many games can they win? Will they be making the playoff this season? Can Kobe Bryant finally played through the whole season without getting hurt?
